The Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights kicks off National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month with a special educational event and luncheon.
Author Elaine Pereira will be discussing her bestselling book, I Will never Forget: A Daughter’s Story of Her Mother’s Arduous and Humorous Journey Through Dementia.
Steve Satek, President of Great Lakes Clinical Trials, will also be on hand to speak about the importance of medical research and the steps that are being taken to help find a treatment, cure, or prevention fo Alzheimer’s Disease.
The Great Lakes Clinical Trials team will also be on hand to perform complimentary genetic testing and to schedule memory screenings at their on-site clinic at the Lutheran Home.
The event is $5 per person and will be held in the Chapel of St. John on the Lutheran Home’s campus.
