Alzheimer’s Research: Get Informed, Get Involved is a series of education and awareness events brought to you by The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter. These programs will feature local researchers who will discuss current trends, efforts and directions in dementia research. Information will be provided about the benefits of participation in research and local studies that are currently recruiting participants. In addition, participants will be given the opportunity to enroll in the Alzheimer’s Association’s TrialMatch® program.
Steve Satek, President of Great Lakes Clinical Trials will be present a talk on the Advances in Alzheimer's Disease Research. Current Alzheimer’s research is very promising and focuses on the delay or possible prevention of the onset of the disease. Mr. Satek's presentation will share the history of Alzheimer’s Disease Research, information about clinical trials in general and specifics of current trials being conducted all over the world.
